Yulia is a dedicated and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Registered Nurse (RN) with a career that spans over 15 years in healthcare. She began her nursing journey in 2007, graduating with honours from Algonquin College as an RPN. During her time at Queensway Carleton Hospital, where she worked on the postpartum unit from 2007-2019, Yulia pursued her passion for nursing by simultaneously studying full-time to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at the University of Ottawa, graduating in 2021.
After obtaining her BScN, Yulia began working at Originelle Fertility Centre, starting as a staff nurse and quickly advancing to a charge nurse position. She then expanded her expertise in critical care, gaining valuable experience on the trauma unit and in the near ICU at the Civic Hospital. Currently, Yulia works full-time as an obstetrical nurse, OR and recovery nurse at the Montfort Hospital as well as a post-general anesthesia recovery nurse, where she continues to demonstrate her dedication to patient care.
Outside of her professional career, Yulia is passionate about animal breeding. She breeds Sphinx cats over the past 10 years as well as the rare Chinese Chongqing dog, an ancient breed she is working diligently to get recognized in Canada. Her blend of nursing excellence and commitment to preserving unique animal breeds highlights her diverse interests and dedication to both her profession and personal passions.
Manal is dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in diverse healthcare settings, including medical centers, schools, geriatric, and pediatric units. Skilled in-patient care, counseling, and community health promotion. She is specialized in pediatric care, mental health issues (ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression), and women’s health. Demonstrated commitment to specialized care through ASD assessments and collaboration with CHEO. Proficient in administering primary vaccines, providing travel vaccine counseling, and prescribing medications within CNO guidelines. Experienced in rural healthcare settings and First Nations communities as a travel nurse.
She holds Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Manal is an active member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (CNO), British Colombia of Nurses (BCCNM), and Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO).
Having worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, Manal is adept at managing different levels of sedation. She is committed to staying current with advances in sedation practices and continuing education, ensuring that every patient receives optimal care. As part of the sedation team, Manal prioritizes patient safety, effective pain management, and clear communication with patients and families.
